Jdog on the case

Jesse j Lusko does the call to worship at ccabq bible from 30 k
Nice job reading from Micah- nothing but net.

Where the work gets done

With a double rainbow overhead & various birds chirping about, this is a sanctuary where a lot work gets done.
I take the calls I want, and nobody just drops by to ask if I have 'just a minute.' Great coffee helps the process,
and what did I do before wireless internet? I can still hear the screech of AOL logging on by phone at 56, then: 'you've got mail.' Seems like that was the dark ages.
It is a happy day.

Why I Love July

July is a sweet month for sports.  First the classic Wimbledon Lawn & Tennis Championships.
I made a pilgrimage to Wimbledon Village and it was well worth the trip!  Just to stand at Center Court was epic.
I am all about Breakfast At Wimbledon for the Finals! Then the Tour de France kicks off  Perhaps the toughest sports challenge on the planet.  Unimaginable climbs, in all weather.
A month of extreme cycling at tempo. Alp de'Huez! And the time trials!  It makes July a total treat.

Not Montana, but not bad!

These are part of the fireworks for our Bible 30k on July 2nd.
Maybe not what you can buy on the frontier of Montana, but not
bad for a little church Bible study!

Hungry Sheep, Dangerous Sheep

We celebrated the 4th early at CCABQ with about 4,000 of our close friends. Bible at 30 k went mobile and people came early to eat. The caterer didn't bring enough food and he fled. Leaving me to scamper to McD's (I wore a disguise) and order hundreds of hamburgers. Seriously. It was a biblical setting, hundreds of people wandering around the park looking for food. They were gnawing the bark off our trees and giving me looks of death. I had to deliver. Papa John's Pizza and hundreds of double cheeseburgers and voila! They loved me. It was quasi-messianic. People thanked me around campus with french fries hanging out of their mouths. I know how the disciples must have felt in the wilderness: When Jesus said you give them something to eat!
It was tense for while, next year: new food company. I don't want this flock turning on me.
